Lakeland Electric Update: 9pm

Our dedicated field personnel have been working tirelessly to make significant progress, enabling us to revise our estimated restoration times. As a result of their efforts, we are pleased to inform you that we now estimate that power will be restored to all customers who can safely receive it by Wednesday, October 16.
 
As more work is being completed in easements and backyards, please keep gates and fences unlocked and keep dogs inside for the safety of our teams and to help keep restoration moving quickly.
 
Outages

• 6,500 customers are without power.
• Customers with damaged electrical equipment or those currently contending with flooding may be unable to safely receive power until the floodwaters recede or their equipment undergoes assessment and repair by a qualified electrician.

Estimated Restoration Times

• We estimate power will be restored Wednesday, October 16 to all customers able to safely receive power. 
• More detailed estimated restoration times for all customers are now available on the outage map by zone.
• Estimated restoration times can be viewed by zone in the outage map by clicking "View by Zone" in the map legend.
  • Please note: All of Combee Settlement will be restored on Tuesday, October 15.)
• Regardless of the zone estimate, customers who are currently flooded will be restored on Wednesday, October 16.

Personnel

• There are 600 personnel in the field restoring power, five times our normal operation. 
  • This includes more than 500 mutual aid personnel from Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Alabama, Wisconsin, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, and Florida.

Customer Service

• Customers can text OUT to 21592 to report outages.
• Customers should call (863)834-9535 to report electric emergencies and downed lines.
• Customer Service Call Center is open until 10 p.m. 
  • We are only taking storm-related calls. 
  • Disconnects for non-payment are suspended for all customers.
