Lakeland Electric 1 p.m. Update

• Outages
  • We have successfully restored power to 21,000 customers so far today, making significant progress.
  • As of 1:00 p.m., we have 62,000 customers without power. 
  • We have sustained substantial damage to our electric grid following Hurricane Milton.
    • The damage we are restoring are broken and downed poles, downed trees and tree limbs, flooding, and downed wires.
  • Our personnel are surveying the damage this morning and will have a better idea of estimated restoration times for customers later today.

  • We have over 400 personnel in the field restoring power. 
    • Including over 300 mutual aid personnel from Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas, and Florida. Lineworkers, tree crews and damage assesors. 
• Customer Service
  • Our Customer Service Call Center is open.
  • Customers should call (863)834-9535 to report electric emergencies and downed lines.
  • Our smart meter system automatically reports power outages to Lakeland Electric.
