LAKELAND, Fla. — The concert season is now in full swing at Southeastern University (SEU), and the School of Music will be presenting a Brass Quintet Concert and a Percussion Ensemble Concert this week. Performances will feature a wide variety of genres and instruments. Please read below for the details on these upcoming shows.

The Brass Quintet Concert will be held on Wednesday, November 16, at 7:30 p.m. in the Band Room (Room 149 of the Buena Vida East building) on SEU’s Lakeland campus. The event is free to attend and open to the public. The concert will feature Baroque to contemporary jazz instrumental performances, as well as a variety of quintet literature and pop selections.

SEU’s Percussion Group will hold a Percussion Ensemble Concert on Thursday, November 17, at 7:30 p.m. in the Band Room (Room 149 of the Buena Vida East building) on SEU’s Lakeland campus. This event is free to attend and open to the public. It will include works from Pulitzer-winning composers Steve Reich and Christopher Rouse, as well as a performance by SEU’s Director of Bands, Professor Jason T. Aylward.
