LAKELAND, Fla. — Southeastern University (SEU) has announced the appointment of two new vice presidents to the university’s executive leadership team. Dr. Michael Steiner, who previously served as the chief of staff, will be stepping into the role of vice president for innovation and communication. Jamie Anderson, a new addition to the SEU community, will be joining as the vice president of marketing.

Steiner has served as chief of staff since 2017. In his new position, he will be overseeing the start-up of new university initiatives and seeking funding for these projects through grant resources. Steiner has worked with both the Lily Foundation and The Kern Family Foundation in recent years, and will continue to cultivate relationships with local, state and federal representatives.

He will also be creating and developing the SEU Media Network.

Anderson will direct SEU’s brand strategy through the development of marketing campaigns that drive engagement and brand awareness. With over 25 years of experience in education, multi-specialty healthcare, bands and brands, Anderson is a full-service digital agency owner. He has also served as the site director for SEU’s The Belonging Co College and led the most successful launch of any of the university’s partner sites to date.

“I have no doubt that each one of these individuals will excel in their areas of responsibility and  continue to drive the culture of excellence at our university,” said President Kent Ingle.
