Polk County Public Schools will host a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday (March 10) for Garner Elementary’s major modernization project.
This $40-million project will create new, energy-efficient buildings at Garner Elementary. The new school will also feature an innovative design that fosters interactive, collaborative and team-based learning. See attached rendering.
Thursday’s groundbreaking event will begin at 10 a.m. The groundbreaking site is located along the northwest corner of the campus (2500 Havendale Blvd. N.W. in Winter Haven). See the attached map for further directions to the groundbreaking site.
News media are invited to attend. RSVPs are not necessary; however, they’re appreciated for planning purposes. You can RSVP by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
This project is made possible by the school district’s half-cent sales tax referendum, which was renewed by Polk County voters in 2018 and is critical for school construction and improvements.
