Harrison School for the Arts Creative Writing department and the Harrison Archival Research Team Presents…The Vincent O’Shaugnessy House for Humans: A Retrospective

February 24th, 2022 – 7PM – Harrison School for the Arts Black Box Theatre.

The Vincent O’Shaugnessy House for Humans – a college dormitory turned boarding house that opened in 1979 – kept no real records of its inhabitants. Boarded up in 1983 due to a catastrophic mold situation in the basement, the house sat in disrepair and decay for decades until a group of researchers, The Harrison Archival Research Team (HART), were granted access after the founder’s death in late 2021. The team uncovered a treasure trove of diaries, photos, letters, stories, poems, and other ephemera that finally provide a window into one of the most eclectic communal-living groups of people in American history.
