Bartow, Fla. (Jan. 7, 2021) — Polk County planners will hold the next local mitigation strategy meeting in a virtual format this month.
The meeting, which is open to the public, begins at 9 a.m., Jan. 11 and will be held in a Zoom video conference call.
The Polk County Local Mitigation Strategy, which was updated in 2020, is the county’s plan on how to avoid or lessen the impacts of various disasters. Anyone who would like to have a voice in helping reduce the impacts of disasters to the county or want to learn more about mitigation is encouraged to attend.
