LAKELAND, Fla., Sept. 23, 2021 ­— The Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Dick Pope Polk County Chapter welcomes branding expert Tim Cox, who will present at the Chapter’s monthly professional development meeting. The program will be held on Oct. 20 from 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

            Attendees are offered a virtual option via Zoom or to attend in-person at My Office & More, located at 122 E. Main Street, Lakeland, Florida. Cost to attend for FPRA members is $20 and $35 for non-members. Tickets can be obtained at FPRAPolk.org.

            Cox spent his career working at Publix in the creative field. He began his career as a screen printer in Publix’s sign shop and worked his way into graphic design. In 1989, he started Publix’s in-house creative services department with five associates, which has grown to over 115 associates today. Cox lead the brand expression for Publix in all communication channels including broadcast, video, digital, print, package design and store environment. After a 40-year career, he retired from Publix as the Director of Creative Services in 2021. Cox is currently working part-time as an Expert in Residence for Catapult in Lakeland as well as independent brand consulting.             FPRA Dick Pope Polk County Chapter members represent diverse backgrounds in private and public corporations, government entities, nonprofit organizations and consulting firms. The association’s goal is enhancing the public relations profession through ethical and standardized practices.
