The Lakeland Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Legislative Wrap-Up, presented by Spectrum and Lakeland Electric, took place on Thursday, May 27th, at the First Presbyterian Church.
With roughly 200 people in attendance, our Polk County delegation, Sen. Danny Burgess, Rep. Melony Bell, Rep. Colleen Burton, and Rep. Josie Tomkow, answered pressing questions about the 2021 legislative session and what’s to come.
The Chair of BusinessVoice, Inc., James Ring of Ring Roofing, Inc., gave an update on the accomplishments of BusinessVoice, Inc. and the benefits for Chamber Investors to participate and have their political voice heard. Also in attendance were Mayor Bill Mutz, Lakeland Chamber Board Chair, Will Link of Reed, Mawhinney, & Link, PLLC, Vice-Chair of Advocacy, William Roll of Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., the Legislative Staff of the Delegation, and the Legislative Staff of Senator Kelli Stargel.
