The purpose of the program is to recognize those moms living in shelters this Mother’s Day by arranging delivery of small gifts for women and children who are victims of domestic abuse or homelessness. Peace River Center Victim Services and TWO MEN AND A TRUCK partner with local businesses around all of Polk County! You can get involved by allowing your facility to be a donation drop-off location. Two Men and a Truck will drop off a box for donations to be placed the first week of March and collect the items as needed until their official pick up on Friday, May 7,2021.
For being a partner in 2021, your business will also receive a social media shoutout from Two Men and a Truck and be featured on their website as an official Movers for Moms® partner! For more information, please contact Blake Denz at email@example.com or visit their website here!
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® locations across the country collect donations for women every spring and deliver them to local women’s and family shelters on or before Mother’s Day. Franchises partner with local shelters, schools, and other community organizations to collect goods that will make Mother’s Day special for moms living in shelters. This annual campaign is called Movers for Moms®.
This year, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® will pick up and deliver the collected items to Peace River Center around Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 9. All items are welcome; however, much-needed items include:
- feminine hygiene products
- hair care products
- ethnic hair care products
- toilet paper/paper towels
- baby bottles/sippy cups
- sheet sets/blankets
- dish/laundry soap
- cooking utensils
- pots and pans
- gas gift cards
Every year, Two Men and a Truck® locations systemwide team up with local businesses to collect items for mothers in shelters. The purpose of the program is to recognize those women who are victims of domestic abuse or homelessness and give them something special for Mother’s Day.
