Davenport, FL (Feb. 5, 2021) – Central Florida’s Visitor Information Center (CFVIC) will celebrate the national pastime by hosting its annual Spring Training Celebration Saturday, Feb. 13.  This free, family-friendly event takes place from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m., featuring ticket giveaways and CFVIC will be giving away commemorative T-shirts to the first 300 visitors (starting at 8 a.m., one per person, while supplies last). Safety measures will be in place to promote social distancing and proper hygiene, and face coverings are encouraged.

Vendors will be on hand, selling food and craft items and attendees will have the opportunity to take advantage of two BOGO attraction tickets offers during the event (tickets payable by credit card only):

  1. Buy a one-day LEGOLAND® Florida Resort ticket and get a second ticket free.
  2. Buy one Bok Tower Gardens ticket and get one free.

The Detroit Tigers are celebrating their 85th season of Spring Training at TigerTown in Lakeland, extending the longest-standing relationship between a major league team and a current Spring Training host city. The 2021 spring season marks the club’s 56th consecutive season of exhibition play at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium. Visit for the latest updates on game schedules and COVID-19 protocols.

In addition to assisting visitors, and residents (by providing tourism information about Polk County), CFVIC also sells discounted attraction tickets for many Central Florida attractions (including LEGOLAND Florida Resort) and hosts a seasonal Farmers Market on Thursdays, continuing through May 6, 2021. 

The information center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., seven days a week (excluding major holidays), and is located at 101 Adventure Court, Davenport, FL 33837 (along U.S. Highway 27), a half-mile south of I-4 at Exit 55.
