Area Councils

Chamber Area Councils are advisory organizations located in specific geographical areas: Downtown, Dixieland, Midtown, North Lakeland (LKLD North) and South Lakeland (LKLD South). Each of these councils are comprised of Lakeland area business owners who are located in the designated areas and provide an opportunity for getting involved in solving problems, discussing issues and implementing special projects and events for the benefit of the area in which they work.

Area Councils are a partnership between the Chamber and organizations such as Lakeland CRA, Lakeland Business Leaders (LBL), Downtown Lakeland Parnership (DLP) and Lakeland Downtown Development Association (LDDA). Investment in any of the partner organizations is not initially required for participation in the councils, but is encouraged.

Each area council will work to serve the unique needs of its members, with its own leadership team, strategic plan, programs and initiatives. Although the area councils are separate, they will also work together on collaborative initiatives and programs for the benefit of all of Lakeland.
