Event Description:

“Saddle Up with Governmental Purchasing”: Meet with purchasing professionals who spend nearly one billion dollars annually on goods and services ranging from office supplies to building construction.  This unique opportunity is brought to you by the Mid-Florida Chapter of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP).

Meet, greet and connect with governmental purchasing professionals such as the Polk County School Board, Polk County Board of County Commissioners, City of Lakeland, City of Winter Haven, Polk State College, Polk County Sheriff’s Office, Lakeland Area Mass Transit District, City of Winter Park, Hillsborough County, Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, and other governmental agencies. Check our website at www.midflnigp.org for additional entities to be added.

Registration is $100.00 per person.  Registration includes a copy of the 2013 edition of the Mid-Florida Chapter of NIGP Directory, admission to the Reverse Trade Show to browse the tables/displays provided and interaction with governmental purchasing professionals.

The break-out session is a Presentation on “Understanding Local Preference” held at 11:00 a.m. Please bring any questions to the discussion you may have regarding Local Preference.
